Slow Setting 1
Bitumen Emulsion Slow Setting 1 (PBI CSS -1)
The slow setting grades are designed for maximum stability. This is use with high fines contents, dense- graded aggregates. All slow setting grades have low viscosities that can be further reduced by adding water.
GRADE 4 SS-1- is normally used for
- Prime Coat
- Crack Sealing
- Fog Seal
Advantages:
- Very economical and easy application
- High adhesive properties
- Water resistance features.
- Penetrate in cracks while using low heating temperature
- Ready to use without being heated
- Decreased road maintenance cost
- Long service life for roads
- Compatible with Portland cement
- Prevents raveling and rutting
- Water resistant and enhances easy drainage of water
- Prevents permeability of atmospheric air to the bottom layer
- Extended breaking
