Slow Setting 1

Bitumen Emulsion Slow Setting 1 (PBI CSS -1)

The slow setting grades are designed for maximum stability. This is use with high fines contents, dense- graded aggregates. All slow setting grades have low viscosities that can be further reduced by adding water.

GRADE 4 SS-1- is normally used for

  • Prime Coat
  • Crack Sealing
  • Fog Seal

Advantages:

  • Very economical and easy application
  • High adhesive properties
  • Water resistance features.
  • Penetrate in cracks while using low heating temperature
  • Ready to use without being heated
  • Decreased road maintenance cost
  • Long service life for roads
  • Compatible with Portland cement
  • Prevents raveling and rutting
  • Water resistant and enhances easy drainage of water
  • Prevents permeability of atmospheric air to the bottom layer
  • Extended breaking
